Steve Fifer

I’ve been a State Farm agent for over 30 years, having opened my current agency back in 1981. All told, I have over 35 years of insurance experience with State Farm, and I’m proud to serve the residents of Pensacola, FL and the surrounding area. My agency provides homeowners insurance, renters insurance, auto insurance, life insurance and more, including financial services.

With decades of experience—and a college degree in education —I have an easy time serving young customers and families who are just starting out. I enjoy helping people navigate the details of coverage plans and figure out what’s essential for their needs, and I take great pride in helping them protect the things that matter most. When you’re planning for—and protecting—your future, it’s essential to have the right information. But it can be just as important to have someone who’s good at explaining the process, and I like being that guy for our customers.

I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale. I attended the United States Naval Academy and earned a degree in education from Florida State University. I first became a State Farm agent in 1981 while living in Tennessee. I moved back to Florida in 1985 and worked with State Farm management for four years before becoming an agent once again in 1989—this time in Pensacola. I’m married with three adult children and several grandchildren, and in my free time I enjoy visiting national parks, hiking, kayaking, sketching, painting, gardening, fishing, snorkeling, sculling, exercising, and especially birding. I feel lucky to pass my love of birds on to my children, and now my grandchildren, too.

I’m also a big believer in giving back to the community, and I’ve worked with a number of great organizations, including Pathways for Change, the Chamber of Commerce, and a fine local hospital. I serve on the board of directors for the Better Business Bureau, I’m active with church programs, and I also help raise puppies for a guide dog organization. With State Farm, I’m proud to also participate in the Quotes for Good program.
